Limited English Proficiency Requirements - What Does This Me
Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act implemented a formal nationwide requirement that the prohibition on discrimination based on national origins requires covered entities to take reasonable steps to provide “meaningful access” to individuals with limited English proficiency who are eligible to be served or likely to be encountered within the entities’ health programs and activities. Join health care lawyers, Heidi Kocher and Gunnar Jurgensen, as they discuss what “meaningful access” means and how home health and hospice agencies can achieve compliance with this requirement. This webinar is scheduled for 60 minutes with a Q & A session to follow. Registration is free for all TAHCH members and Liles Parker clients.
